Apartment Pile Dubrovnik

The interior design project focuses on the renovation of an apartment located in Pile, in the immediate vicinity of Dubrovnik’s Old Town. The design is defined by a refined combination of contemporary materials and warm, natural textures, with the layout organized to create a sense of openness and comfort while respecting the scale of Dubrovnik’s historic interiors. A distinctive contribution to the atmosphere comes from the wall graphic works of Booboo Tannenbaum, which add conceptual depth and an artistic layer to the space. These pieces are both subtle and emotional, composed of abstract lines, textures, and motifs. Exposed roof beams, elegant detailing, and carefully selected furniture further enhance an ambiance that successfully balances modern design with contextual sensitivity.
The furnishing style reflects a continuous connection with the local architectural heritage and with Dubrovnik as a cultural and historical setting. The apartment’s design thus stands as an example of a discreet yet highly effective transformation of an interior within a historic context. The renovation introduces a new spatial dynamic while preserving the authentic spirit of old Dubrovnik. The project illustrates how contemporary adaptation can be achieved with respect for history while ensuring functionality and aesthetic value through a clear, modern expression.
