Recovery and Valorization of Castillo de Pliego
The recovery, valorization, and adaptation for tourist visits of Castillo de Pliego in Murcia, Spain, has been officially completed. The project included the reconstruction of rammed earth (tapial) sections on the castle walls and towers, the cleaning, repair, and consolidation of parapets and crowns, and the integration of protective elements to ensure safe public access. The interventions focused on recovering lost sections of the historic fabric while respecting the original geometry, materials, and character of the fortress. New visitor routes and safety elements allow the public to experience this important heritage site while preserving its authenticity.
